Knowing the users you are designing for is critical to good design. Ideally, general research is done through product owner and other stakeholder interviews, which leads to the development of personas.
This example was developed in the early stages of an overall product/ Web site development project. The marketing, product and UX design teams collaborated and provided demographic profiles, while my main responsibility was to define the scenarios and behaviors for each persona. These personas were used to develop various user task flows and eventual Web sites for each type of product and user.

Another example shows personas created as a new platform for a mixture of products was being developed. Again, marketing, product and UX teams came together to define user types and their needs which guided the overall user experience design.
